Weddings
All our Marriage Officiants are licenced to perform wedding ceremonies
by the Registrar General of the Province of Ontario. Some of our Officiants are also bilingual in English and French/Spanish/Portugese/ Hungarian/Chinese.
To book our services, we require the following:
1. The date of ceremony
2. The time of ceremony
3. The location of ceremony
Fee:
The fee in the Toronto area is Cdn.$350.00, plus a travel
fee if applicable. We require a Cdn.$180 deposit plus $23.40 HST (effective for any weddings from July 1, 2010 and onward), of which Cdn.$100.00
is non-refundable. This office will issue you a receipt after
the deposit has been received and then an Officiant will be assigned
to you. We try to accommodate "special" requests.
Approximately one month before the ceremony, you, your fiancé(e)
and your Officiant will get together to plan your ceremony. The
Officiant will also ask to see your marriage licence at this meeting.
The balance of Cdn.$170.00 cash (plus travel if applicable) is
due to the Officiant at this time.
On the Wedding Day
The Officiant will arrive approximately 20 minutes
before the ceremony. Please make sure your marriage ceremony starts
on time as the presence of your Officiant will very likely be required
elsewhere at a later hour. The Couple must present the marriage
licence and envelope to the Officiant before the proceedings.
After the ceremony, you will be presented with the "Record
of Solemnization of Marriage" documenting your marriage. The
Officiant will immediately mail your marriage licence
to the Office of the Registrar General in Thunder Bay for registration.
Approximately 8-12 weeks following your wedding date, you may
wish to apply for a formal Certificate of Marriage from the Registrar
General of Ontario . The application form and fee schedule were
included with the information you received when you purchased your
marriage licence. If you do not have the Marriage Certificate
Application Form, you may pick it up at any marriage licence office or from the Toronto
Office of the Registrar General at 777 Bay Street/College Street (Tel: 416.325.8305).
Best wishes on your forthcoming marriage.
