Coronavirus (COVID 19) Update
As you know, the fight against COVID19 continues and access to our facility is still restricted and we are therefore not able to perform onsite weddings at Toronto City Hall.
Effective July 4, we will be renting space at the DoubleTree Hilton Hotel – the Victoria Room - https://www.hilton.com/en/hotels/ytocsdt-doubletree-toronto-downtown/?SEO_id=GMB-DT-YTOCSDT located just behind City Hall.
Dates and times will be limited - clients are welcome to change their appointments. A valid marriage licence is required and we are limiting guests to ten with physical distancing in place.
Currently you can apply for your marriage licence 3 DAYS IN ADVANCE ON-LINE, and pick up the licence by appointment with appropriate ID and documentation from the NORTH YORK OFFICE ONLY. More information on this process can be found on toronto.ca/coronavirus, see Changes to City Services, scroll to the bottom and click on Weddings.
We are continuing to send our Officiants offsite to you provided you have a valid marriage licence and 2 witnesses.
The province has now allowed for a restricted number of people to gather for wedding ceremonies. The number permitted is 30 only with physical distancing measures in place. If a wedding ceremony is held outside the number is 50 including the couple and Marriage Officiant, provided there is space for everyone to physically distance.
For further information, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
We will continue to monitor the situation and keep you informed as we await further direction from Public Health agencies and government.
Thank you for your patience.
Keep well and stay safe,
All of us at the Wedding Chambers
